The official opening for the 5th Gawler Art Award was held at The Gawler Community Gallery this afternoon with an eager crowd of locals and reports listening to the lucky winners of the section awards. Well done to all the artist that won an award. There is still one award to be given out and that is the People's Choice for visitors of the gallery to vote for.
Below is a photo of me standing next to my photograph 'Fishy Physics' hanging just inside the door of the downstairs gallery room.
I would like encourage everyone to go and check out the exhibition which will be showing until October 10th. There are some brilliant art pieces there and certainly do not envy the judges who selected the winners of each award.
